Have you ever tried to love an idea?
Or tried to feel inspired?
And it feels more like pulling teeth when you want to be painting a mental canvas?
When we were under contract on property in Dahlonega, I absolutely loved the land, but struggled — despite my best efforts— to come up with the vision for where units and amenities would go.
I couldn’t imagine what they would look like.
I struggled to get really excited about the possibilities.
That should have been the first red flag, but it took us 2 months of trying to make it work before we realized we had to go back to the drawing board.
But that all changed the first time I stepped onto Cypress…
I knew immediately where we would put every single unit.
I could see where the restaurant will go, where the spa will be tucked in, and how the glass garden chapel will fit perfectly in the bend of the creek.
I remember saying in a video I was taking for Tanner “We could put the first units right here”.
The most amazing thing is that from that first stroll on the property and identifying where we could put them: that is exactly where we are developing them today.
