• Reservation and stay details: arrival and departure dates, party size, villa preferences, special requests, and similar booking information.
• Payment information: payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Communications: messages you send us by email, text message, or web form, and your preferences for how we contact you.
• Usage and device data: basic technical information such as your browser type, device, and pages viewed, collected to keep the site secure and working properly, and—when advertising cookies are on—to measure our advertising, as described under Cookies and Advertising.

How We Use Your Information

• To process reservations, payments, and cancellations.
• To send booking confirmations, pre-arrival details, and other service messages about your stay.
• To respond to your questions and provide guest support before, during, and after your stay.
• To send you news, offers, and updates by email or text message when you have asked to receive them.
• To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
• When advertising cookies are on, to measure our advertising and show it to people who may enjoy a stay.

SMS / Text Messaging & Mobile Information

You opt in to text messages by giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts—for example, when you make a reservation, join our waitlist, or ask us to text you. By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Cypress Resort at that number. Service messages about a reservation you have made (such as confirmations, pre-arrival details, and stay-related updates) are sent to the number you provide; promotional texts and offers are sent only if you have separately indicated you would like to receive them. You are never required to consent to text messages as a condition of booking or purchasing anything from us.

• Message frequency: message frequency varies based on your reservation activity and the programs you opt into.
• Message and data rates: message and data rates may apply. These charges come from your mobile carrier and are your responsibility.
• Opt out: you can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send further texts unless you opt in again.
• Help: for help, reply HELP or email guestservices@cypressresort.com.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories described in the "How We Share Information" section below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Our email and SMS delivery providers act solely as our processors to deliver the messages you have opted into and may not use your number for their own purposes.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: trusted vendors who process information on our behalf so we can run the resort—for example, Stripe (payments), Supabase (data hosting), and our email and text-message delivery providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Advertising partner: when advertising cookies are on, we share limited information with Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) to measure and deliver our advertising, as described under Cookies and Advertising. Some state laws call this "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time through Your Privacy Choices.
• Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our guests, our team, or Cypress Resort.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your reservation records, comply with our legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit via HTTPS/TLS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the information you entrust to us.

Your Choices

• Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
• Turn advertising cookies off at any time through Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of any page. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals.
• Use the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails, or contact us to update your preferences.
• Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
